Danish Hernia Database
The Danish Hernia Database is a nationwide clinical database containing information about >95% of all abdominal wall hernia repairs performed in Denmark. The database was founded in 1997, with the aim to improve the surgical outcomes after inguinal hernia repair in Denmark.[1] In 2007 the database was extended to include ventral hernia repairs. [2] As of May 2015 >130,000 inguinal and 37,000 ventral hernia repairs are registered in the Danish Hernia Database.
