Danita Catherine Burke is an international politics scholar, author and founder of the Women in the Arctic and Antarctic initiative. Her research focuses predominately on the Arctic and Circumpolar North. Her work has explored themes such as Arctic diplomacy and security, sustainable development, environmental politics, the roles and legacies of environmental non-governmental organisations and Canada's relationship with the Arctic and North.
