Dansville State Game Area is state owned land in Ingham and Bunker Hill Townships of Ingham County in Central Michigan. It is the largest state land area within Ingham County, the states' capital county.

It is primarily utilized by locals for farming, fishing, and hunting.[1] The State game area also contains the Dansville Shooting Range. [2]

The land area is 7.4296875 square miles, or 4755 acres. It also helps fight climate change. [3] It's somewhat nearby state nature areas include Meridian-Baseline State Park, Waterloo State Recreation Area, Pinckney State Recreation Area, Rose Lake State Wildlife Research Area, and Sleepy Hollow State Park.

The state game area is within Lansing–East Lansing metropolitan area. It lies within two rural townships: Bunker Hill Township, and Ingham Township. It is 20 miles south-southeast of Lansing. [4]
