Dante Rapper is a rapper, singer-songwriter, musician and director known for his musical versatility and storytelling.[1][2] Despite his name, Dante's music has been described as cross-genre, mixing elements of hiphop, acoustic, rock, lo-fi and emo.[3] His musical influences have been cited as including Elliott Smith, The Smiths, Xxxtentacion and Jeff Buckley.[4]

He released his first album, "It Was Almost Beautiful ", on April 15th, 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. Initial reports indicated that the album was going to be a double album called, Sick of Living / Unwilling to Die,[5] named after a poem speculated to be written in 1966 by the Zodiac Killer,[6] an American Serial Killer. The album's first single, "Bad Times" featuring hereisgrey was released in June 2019,[7] the music video depicts footage of a fire occurring during a high school party. Unconfirmed rumours suggested the video was about the Kheyvis fire,[8] which occurred in 20 December 1993 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, killing 17 teenagers in a graduation party for the La Salle College.
