Danushka Kumaratunga is a Sri Lankan writer of Essence[1][2]. Chameera Danushka Kumaratunga commonly known as Danushka Kumaratunga ( Template:Langx ) is a writer, lyricist, musical artist, creative director[3] & journalist in Sri Lanka. Being a lyricist, Danushka Kumarathunga's creativity gave life to the rock music variation; Manusatha, with the musical legend Chitral Somapala.

Biography[edit]
Danushka Kumaratunga was born in Matale, Sri Lanka, on November 01,1990 and educated at Vijaya College, Matale. He pursued higher education in Cinema and Television at the University of Kelaniya and later furthered his studies in Writing and Communication at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura. Kumarathunga is songwriter, graphic designer, creative director[4] and photographer[5].His music career started in the year 2010. As a lyricist [6] , Kumarathunga's creativity was instrumental in the creation of the rock music piece "Manusatha" in collaboration with musical legend Chitral Somapala. Danushka works full-time at the University of Peradeniya and was formerly a freelance journalist for the Mawbima newspaper.

Danushka Kumarathunga is the author of Essence[7][8]. Essence is a different genre of design, and its page layout is in a Western magazine format. Danushka is a young Sri Lankan designer who always creates creative and different designs. Essence can be described as a creation that can give visual inspiration to the viewer.As a research work, Essence was a popular work among Sri Lankan readers.
