Daraa
Daraa
The Daraa (دراعة in Arabic) is a Hassaniya Arabic term meaning "the Shield," highlighting its crucial role in protecting against sand dunes in the nomadic Sahrawi/Tuareg life. This traditional male garment is predominantly found in three colors: white, light blue, and dark blue. Light blue is particularly favored among the Sahrawi and Tuareg peoples of North Africa. The Daraa is widely used across all Maghreb countries.
