Early life and education[edit]
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., and raised in Gwinnett County, Georgia, Cain quickly developed the keen ability to nurture his talents through involvements in local youth organizations, theater & performing arts, and high school broadcast journalism. Following his acceptance into Perimeter College at Georgia State University's College of Business, Cain became involved in a range of university-sponsored theater and performing arts programs. Proving to be more fulfilling and beneficial to his long-term career aspirations, Cain made the heartfelt decision to forgo the remainder of his degree program, in pursuit of promising opportunities in entertainment.
Acting career[edit]
Inspired by the commercial success of Will Smith, while mentored by Jesse Malinowski, CEO and founder of Get Scene, Cain was afforded an exclusive, all-access crash course into the business of entertainment. Refocusing his energy on discovering his innate artistic potential through scene study, instrumental, emotional and improvisational exercises, and while researching various acting techniques, Cain quickly identified with The Chubbuck Technique, as instructed by Tasha Smith of the Tasha Smith Actors Workshop in Sherman Oaks, California.
Cain’s credits in top-rated television and independent features spans broadcast & cable TV, digital and streaming platforms. In 2020, Cain landed the recurring role of Peter Promnickle on Tyler Perry’s BRUH, the new original scripted series for BET+.[1]
In 2019, Cain successfully took on his first major leading role in the independent feature, Prodigal, starring opposite Clifton Powell and Scarface as Kilo Thompson, a street hustler who finds himself at the crossroads between love, family and organized crime. Cain was also featured as Vincent Boudreaux in the TV One original true crime thriller, In Broad Daylight[2] (Shad "Bow Wow" Moss, Chyna Layne) and on the BET Networks series, The Quad (2018).
