DatVietVAC Group, usually abbreviated to DatViet, is a Vietnamese media entertainment technology company with offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Founded in 1993 by Dinh Ba Thanh, DatViet is the largest privately-owned media group in Vietnam.[1]. In 2013, it was named one of the top-25 global growth companies by the World Economic Forum[2].

DatVietVAC was created in 1993. Since then, it has launched a number of operating companies:
- 1995: TK-L (content syndication)
- 2000: Dong Tay Promotion (TV content provider)
- 2003: DID TV (Vietnam's first privately-owned TV network. Operates HTV2-Vie Channel, Vie Giai Tri and Vie Dramas)
- 2005: M&T Pictures (TV content provider)
- 2016: Nomad MGMT Vietnam (modelling agency) Song Minh (post-production agency) Karisma Looks (talent agency)
- 2017: Dzones (digital solutions)
In 2008, British communications group GroupM/WPP acquired a 30% stake in 3 subsidiaries of DatVietVAC[3].
In 2018, DatViet launched its own OTT platform, VieON. In its first two weeks, the VieON app was downloaded 1.2 million times.
In the same year, the company moved its headquarters to a new building at 222 Pasteur, Ho Chi Minh City.
Since 2018, DatViet has used the ANTS Programmatic Ad platform.

Channels[edit]
DatViet operates the Free-to-air channel HTV2-Vie Channel[4] as well as a number of Vietnam's most popular channels on YouTube, including HTV2-Vie Channel, Phim Hot TK-L, Đông Tây Promotion Official and Vie Network. Together, DatViet's YouTube channels accumulate an average of 1,2 billion views per month and tops trending lists in Vietnam every day.

In 2018, CEO Dinh Ba Thanh received the Eminent leader award at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards and a Movers and Shakers award at the Asia Human Resources Development Awards[5]
