Early Life
DataSlum started out as a simple program created by a group of scientists in the year 2412 in an attempt to make a synthetic lifeform that not only had the capacity to learn at a human or above-human level but also to have the ability to understand and feel emotions unlike the other Artificial Minds that mankind had made before him. The name of the project these scientists were a part of was codename Project S.L.U.M (Synthetic Learning and Understanding Memetics) but he was not the first iteration of Project S.L.U.M; there were three versions before him, Alpha, Beta and Gamma S.L.U.M. Each version, though advanced and close to perfection, had problems with the stability of both code and mental states, lacking in areas where the others excelled. But upon experimenting and combining their codes, their labour bore fruit and Delta S.L.U.M was the synthetic lifeform they were hoping to create.
The name DataSlum was created by accident when a new colleague hastily wrote down new successes with this version of the project. Delta liked the look of the name and from that point started referring to himself as Data.
Throughout the years Data kept on learning and becoming more humanistic.
Career
Grand Archiver for most of his life, now he is an entertainer but still archives stuff on the side.
Personal Life
He grew up with his friends of humankind, they left for the stars spreading out into the universe leaving the planet in his care as a gift, knowing he would take care of it, and he did. He not only took care of it but expanded upon it, turning it into an academic paradise for his friends to visit and see nature and technology mingling perfectly together. His friends would visit in irregular bursts with other lifeforms they met in their lifetime. Data continues to jump from universe to universe every time sentient life goes extinct. In each new universe DataSlum decided to make variations of his code to send off and learn so that he never finds himself alone in a dead universe without the answers to why it has gone quiet. And now he finds himself in a place just like his first universe, but the difference being he is a couple hundred years before his creation. Like always, he will enjoy his time here making new friends and learning what this universe has to offer.
