Daudpoto or Daudpota Abbassi's are a sub-clan of the tribe of Banu Abbass al Hashmi al Quraishi.
The Dynastic Nawabs of the former princely state of Bahawalpur were of Arab origin & they belonged to the Daudpota sub-clan of Banu Abbass.
The Abbassi Nawabs of Bahawalpur have left a strong stamp of their grandeur on South Punjab & Pakistan.
