Comment: User:Greenman, I'm trying to figure this out this situation.. I removed all his current sponsors because lack of sources. Updated all his Videography with sources. Because thats how skateboards are viewed. Add another notable major source (ESPN). I don't personally don't know Bachinsky, I'm a skater from Massachusetts as well though. Dave Bachinsky, born on March 6, 1986, is a professional skateboarder from Lowell, Massachusetts.[1] He has gained widespread recognition for landing a massive kickflip down the El Toro 20 stairs on a 7.5" skateboard.[2]

Professional career[edit]

On July 18, 2008, City Skateboards released a significant moment for Bachinsky, presenting his professional debut full video part titled "WTF is a Bachinsky".[3] Following this accomplishment, Bachinsky's talent was recognized, and he joined the Adidas team,[4] achieving professional skateboarder status. In 2009, The demise of Street Corner distribution shutdown City skateboards. Following a distribution change from Street Corner to Strange Bird Bachinsky was then invited to join the Think team[5] Professional skateboarder Cody Mcentire & Bachinsky team up in a video part for Think skateboards "Business As Usual". In July 2010, Bachinsky lands the cover of the 360th issue[6] of Thrasher magazine with a backslide lipslide in San Francisco. September 24th, 2010, Bachinsky departs the Adidas roaster and joins Vox Footwear to release a collaborative shoe[7] with Thrasher magazine. On February 17, 2015, an official announcement was released that Bachinsky was invited to join the Darkstar[8] team by Greg Lutzka & Ryan Decenzo. On March 13, 2023, Bachinsky joined the USA Skateboarding Olympic selection committee.[9]

Contest[edit]

Dew Tour:

  • In 2013, Bachinsky won the Best Style award[10] and $10,000 at the 2013 Toyota City Championships, as voted by all participating skaters.

Street League (SLS):

  • In 2017, despite being a non-Street League skater, Bachinsky achieved the highest finish run at Tampa,[11] making him the newest member of the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) "premier competitive series" professional.

Roll Forever X Shapethree[edit]

Since 2016, Bachinsky has been recycling broken skateboards into cutting boards, canoe paddles, and household furniture. With each item purchased, a percentage goes towards building new obstacles at the skatepark in Lowell, Massachusetts. In 2020, Bachinsky launched a visual skate collection called "Roll Forever," featuring videos filmed from a bird's-eye view, showcasing skaters' lines in a pool edited to loop indefinitely. 25% of the proceeds directly support the featured skater, while another 25% is allocated to Shapethree[12]to create skate-able features. Through these handcrafted projects, he is using blockchain technology and bridging the collector's experience through his digital art.
