Charles David Barnett II (born March 12, 1994) is a United States Marine and former mixed martial artist. Commonly known as “Dave”, and by his YouTube channel, Millennial Falcon MF. He began his YouTube channel in 2024 making videos about the Star Wars film franchise. He is the founder, owner, and CEO of Dive In Studios, and the exclusive rights to his podcast Dive In Radio. Dave’s work’s also distributed through various platforms and media channels, including YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, among others.[1]  

Early life[edit]

Dave was born in Washington, DC to his parents Jennifer Greenleaf and Charles Barnett. As a youth, Dave’s mother had him working at a local church doing sound tech and production work. Through the church he attended acting classes, modeling, plays and was in 2 different bands. One being the church youth praise band as the secondary guitarist and the second in a cover rock band called the Rising Resistance.[2][1] He also was enrolled in many sports mainly focusing on Tai Chuan Do Karate, earning his first degree brown belt. He graduated from Hickory Christian Academy in 2012. That year, he attended Harford Community College for 2 semesters before enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.[3] While in college he founded a fan film Revan (2015) which has received praise from among the Star Wars fanbase and has been viewed over 1.9 million times on YouTube as of April 2024.[4]

Military[edit]

After 2 semesters at Harford Community College, Dave visited a local recruiting office and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During his service he jumped around many MOS fields including; Combat Crewman, Combat Cook, Safety and Administrative Legal Clerk, Machine Gunner, Martial Arts Instructor, Water Survival School Instructor (MCIWS). He achieved multiple awards during his service, and retired in 2017.[2][1]

Podcast[edit]

During the Covid-19 pandemic Dave released The Dive shack which evolved into Dive In Radio.[2]

YouTube and Tik Tok[edit]

Dave launched his YouTube channel in 2024 entitled Millennial Falcon MF, and began filming Star Wars content and commentary for fans as well as investing in other film projects. The channel continues to grow and expand.

Dave started experimenting with Tik Tok the same year he started his YouTube channel in 2024. His first popular video was a cross examination between Frank Herbert’s Dune to George Lucas’s Star Wars.[1]

Dive In Studios[edit]

In 2023, Dave opened a networking production company, Dive In Studios, serving as the company’s owner and CEO. The studio focuses on exploring and commentary on news, books, games, lore, theories and more. The company also features in small and local business meetings and networking events for investing and growth.[5]

Personal life[edit]

He was raised as a Christian and is engaged to his fiancé, Abbey, who is involved in his content creation.

Dave’s sister, Martha Barnett, is an actress living in Los Angeles and the other Grace Greenleaf got accepted to Regent University to study music.

Bibliography[edit]

In 2023 Dave announced that Dive In Studios is in the works of his first published novel The Path. Expended to release 2025. He stated that he has written short stories, scripts, and comics in the past but nothing to this “expanse.”[1][2]
