David "Davey" Dodds (1 March 1971 – 20 August 2017) was a professional English darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation events.
Dodds qualified as an amateur for the 2011 UK Open by winning a qualifying competition in Middlesbrough.[2] He lost his first-round match to James Wade, who went on to win the tournament. He also qualified for the 2012 UK Open, but was beaten by Gary Anderson who threw a nine-dart finish during the match.
Dodds secured a two-year PDC Tour Card at Q-School in 2014, by finishing 16th on the Order of Merit.
Dodds passed away on 20 August 2017, at the age of 46.[3]
