David Agoglia

David Agoglia (born December 20, 1998 in Miami-Dade County, Florida) He competed at the 2015 Judo Cadet World Championships in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 55 kg division, fighting the world-ranked number two player from Russia, Akhmarov Khamzat. He also competed in other international tournaments, including the 2014 Jr. Pan-American Championships in El Salvador and the 2015 Jr. U.S. Open, winning the bronze medal match against Eliezer Otero of Puerto Rico. This placed him at 24th in the world ranking list for that year.

On November 21, 2014, Agoglia was rushed to the hospital in Irving, Texas after experiencing severe cramping during a weight cut and dehydration. He was unable to compete the following day, but competed and won a bronze medal the day after at the 2014 National Presidents Cup Championships.

The following year, Agoglia competed at the 2015 Jr. Scholastics Championships, again in Irving, Texas. He competed in the U18 55 kg division, and a win guaranteed him a spot on the Cadet National team for the United States. The following day, he won gold in the U21 category for 55 kg, earning him a place on the Jr. National team as well, and a number two ranking on the national ranking roster.

Agoglia then competed at the Cadet World Championships in August 2015. He was defeated in his first round match against Russia's Akhmarov Khamzat by penalty.
