David Avino is an Italian aerospace engineer and entrepreneur, known as the founder and chief executive officer of Argotec, an aerospace engineering company focused on satellite systems and space technologies.[1][2]
Early life and career
Avino began his career working in the aerospace sector, including roles in space operations and engineering.[3][4]
He worked as a systems and software engineer for ground operations related to the International Space Station at Alenia Spazio. He later served as a ground segment engineer at the European Space Agency (ESA) and as a human spaceflight ground operations engineer at Rhea Systems.[5]
In 2008, Avino founded Argotec, an aerospace engineering company based in Turin, Italy. The company focuses on the development of satellite platforms, space systems and technologies supporting human spaceflight.[6]
He has served as chief executive officer of Argotec since 2010.
Under Avino's leadership, Argotec has developed technologies related to small satellites and systems supporting astronauts in space missions.[7]
