David Carrico

David Carrico is an American technology entrepreneur, and film producer. In 2010 Carrico co-founded EVNTLIVE[1], an interactive digital concert venue, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2013[2].

In 2017 Carrico founded Valparaiso Pictures[3], a film and television production company that empowers filmmakers to take creative risks.[4]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Carrico is the son of technology entrepreneurs Judith Estrin and William N. Carrico Jr..[5] Carrico is an only child, and grew up in Menlo Park, California.

Film Career[edit]

Productions which Carrico has produced include Jerrod Carmichael's directorial debut On the Count of Three[6], as well as Rodney Asher's A GLITCH IN THE MATRIX[7], both of which premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. Carrico also produced Pig (upcoming film)[8] starring Nicolas Cage that was acquired by NEON and will be released in 2021, as well as the 2020 Telluride Film Festival selection THE TOXIC PIGS OF FUKUSHIMA[9] from director Otto Bell that was recently acquired by VICE. Carrico's first feature film as producer was the Indie Spirit Award-nominated film Straight Up (2019 film). Carrico additionally executive produced the animated television series WILD LIFE[10] that recently premiered season one on Syfy.
