David Jen was born in Pennington, New Jersey, on May 17, 2007. He is a senior at The Wilberforce School, where he holds various leadership positions, including Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook, Junior Varsity Captain of the Cross Country Team, and Founder of the Creative Writing Club.

Career

David Jen began his advocacy work by founding Young Journalists of America in 2020, a youth-led platform supporting over 200 contributors. He later founded The Learn AAPI History Project in 2022 to address the underrepresentation of AAPI history in school curriculums.
