David July is a melodic hip hop artist from North Vancouver, British Columbia[2]. Trevor Donohoe (better known by stage name David July) was born and raised in Vancouver[3], and has played shows at some of Vancouver and the Northwest's largest venues[2]. At just 21 years old, David has mastered the melodic hip hop genre with soothing vocals, catchy melodies, and emotional lyrics. His sold-out Vancouver headline show took place June 4th[4]

After the success of his 2021 singles Everything and Break the Ice, July began making a name for himself as a genre-fusing musician in the city. His most recent release, Want it All, has propelled him into an international spotlight across North America. Starting at a young age, July has built his ability to create memorable hooks and driven verses, and all the while producing powerful vocals and widely versatile material. Although hip hop was the majority of musical consumption for him, July grew up being influenced by many different types of music. From hip hop and pop, to rock and heavy metal, no genre seemed to be off limits. In his youth July grew a strong love for all things music, especially hip hop and the culture surrounding it, but it wasn’t until mid-2019 when he began recording his own music and posting it online to Soundcloud. His particular love for hip hop and R&B is evident through his influences like Post Malone, The Weeknd and XXXTentacion.[5]

In just two years of doing music professionally, David has landed shows throughout his home province of British Columbia, throughout Washington State, and 30,000 organic streams on his single How You Feel About Love, publications from Cali Post, 6ixClout TV, and Vancouver's largest media sources. He's also attained nearly 10,000+ organic views on his Want it All video. David achieved these incredible feats entirely on his own, with no management, label, or outside funding. He has recently signed with Seattle management company Unleashed Entertainment, and is poised for a massive project release in 2023, with many shows throughout North America ahead.[6]
