David Kenney is an American disc jockey and host of the radio show Everything Old is New Again on WBAI-FM.[1]

Kenney attended Emerson College in Boston where he studied Mass Communications.[2] While at Emerson he hosted a show called The Great Entertainer on the school's radio station WERS-FM. After graduating in 1978, he began working for WBAI-FM in New York as a staff announcer and and engineer. He then began producing and hosting Everything Old is New Again. The radio program featured songs from the Great American Songbook. Kenney has hosted the show since its inception in 1979.[2] Throughout his career he has interviewed Academy Award winners Shirley Jones and Rita Moreno, Tony Award composer Cy Coleman and actresses Betty Buckley and Leslie Uggams along with recording artists Michael Feinstein and Phoebe Snow among many other performing artists and notable authors.[2] In 2019 while continuing to broadcast over WBAI-FM, he began broadcasting over The Penthouse - an internet radio station.

In 2004, Kenney received a Backstage Bistro Award for his 25 years as a radio host and promotion of Cabaret.[3] He was also presented with a 2015 Board of Director's MAC Award from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs.[4]
