David L. Gilmore (October 28, 1944 – September 29, 2004) was a former judge of the Courts of Common Pleas in Washington County, Pennsylvania.[1]
He was born on October 28, 1944 in Washington, Pennsylvania.[1] He attended Trinity High School, where he was in student government and a member of the wrestling team.[1] He attended California University of Pennsylvania, where he was also in student government.[1] He graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 1970, where he was on the Duquesne Law Review.[1]
He was assistant District Attorney from 1971 to 1972. He was appointed assistant County Solicitor in 1973.[1] He was named County Solicitor in 1975.[1] In 1976, he was named interim county commissioner of Washington County. He was elected to a term in his own right in 1979.[1] During his time as commissioner, he helped consolidate county government into the Court House Square project and helped develop Southpointe.[1] In 1983, he was elected judge of the Courts of Common Pleas in Washington County.[1] He was named President Judge on January 1, 2003.[2] He died in 2004.[2]
