David Mitchell is a Canadian Politician and IT training professional for a Canadian Bank, who was elected Mayor of the Town of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia in the 2016 Municipal election, .

Mitchell served as a Town Councillor for the Town of Bridgewater from 2004-2012 and at the time of election, was the youngest person elected to Bridgewater Town Council.

Mitchell is the current Chair of the Bridgewater Board of Police Commissioners as well as the Chair of Parks, Recreation and Culture.
