David Norman (businessman)
David Mark Norman (born 30 January 1941) is an English management consultant and businessman, from a prominent City dynasty, now retired from executive positions.

He was educated at Eton, McGill University (BA) and Harvard Business School (MBA).
Family[edit]
Norman represents the fourth generation of the Norman family City dynasty.
- Great-grandfather Frederick Norman was a director of Brown, Shipley & Co..
- Grandfather Ronald Collet Norman was a merchant banker and politician who chaired the Board of Governors of the BBC and the London County Council,
- Great-uncle Sir Montagu Norman, the 1st Baron Norman was a long-serving Governor of the Bank of England
- Father Mark Norman was Chairman of the merchant bankers Lazard Brothers and the cigarette manufacturers Gallahers.
Both Ronald Collet Norman and Mark Norman became successful administrators with the National Trust.
Business career[edit]
In a successful business career, he has held posts at Norcros, Russell Reynolds Associates Inc, Norman Resources, Norman Broadbent, BNB Resources, Chairman of the Royal Ballet School, the Royal Ballet, the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, Norlan Resources, and formerly Chairman of the Tennis and Rackets Association.
Marriage[edit]
He married Diana Anne Sheffield (b. 1942) in 1966. His wife is a cousin of Sir Reginald Sheffield, the 8th baronet (father-in-law of the UK Prime Minister David Cameron), and second daughter of John Vincent Sheffield. They have four children.
