David Rosckowff is an automotive enthusiast, YouTuber, and ASE-certified Master Technician. He creates do-it-yourself videos for dozens of high-performance vehicles and provides tips for taking ASE tests on his YouTube channel, Driver's Therapy.[1]

Career

Rosckowff enlisted on active duty in the Army in 2006, beginning as an avionics and weapons technician (MOS 15J) on the OH-58 Kiowa armed reconnaissance helicopter, and later serving as a maintenance NCO (MOS 15E) for the RQ-7 Shadow unmanned reconnaissance aerial vehicle.[2][3] Rosckowff deployed to Afghanistan in 2009.[2] After receiving an honorable discharge, Rosckowff attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL, where he earned his bachelor's degree.[3]

After graduation, he worked as a service advisor for a Ferrari dealership, as well as a mechanic and driving instructor for multiple high-performance driving groups.[3]

Rosckowff is certified as an ASE Master Automobile Technician and also holds his L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist certification.[3][4] He works with LemonSquad to provide pre-purchase inspections and reports for warranty claims.[3] Rosckowff also teaches as an adjunct in the automotive program at Colorado Mesa University Tech in Grand Junction, CO.[3][5]

Racing

Rosckowff attended the Skip Barber Racing School in Sebring, FL, and earned his competition license. Then, he raced a Mazda Miata in the ITA class of SCCA Road Racing for two seasons.[3][6]

Rosckowff also entered the 2016 ROK Cup karting series.[3][7]

Driver's Therapy

Drawing on his technical expertise, Rosckowff began creating videos that show viewers how to work on specific sports cars.[3] He has stated that he plans to create more DIY videos for sports cars than anyone else in the world. He also creates point-of-view driving videos and guides for people considering the purchase of a specific vehicle.[8] Additionally, he creates video courses that help people become better automotive technicians.[9][10]

Rosckowff started making videos on YouTube in 2018. Since then, he has published over 1600 automotive-related videos, from the Honda S2000 to the Porsche GT4.[11][12][3][8]
