Career[edit]
Following graduation from UCLA, Ryan joined William O'Neil + Co., Inc in Los Angeles. In 1992, Ryan became Portfolio Manager of the NEW USA MUTUAL FUND, where William O'Neil served as Chief Market Strategist. O'Neil and Ryan were supported by a team of 3 analysts. In 1997 O'Neil sold the NEW USA GROWTH FUND (renamed) to MFS Financial Services of Boston, MA, and William O'Neil + Co., Inc. exited the mutual fund business.
In July, 1998 Ryan founded Ryan Capital Management in Santa Monica, California, and managed Rustic Partners, a hedge fund for 15 years.[1] The firm was in the investment advisory business and offered stock market expertise and portfolio management experience to a limited number of investors. He served as the investment strategist and portfolio manager for his firm.
Ryan has been mentioned in the book How to Make Money in Stocks by his mentor William O'Neil. He was also profiled in the original Market Wizards – Interviews with Top Traders by Jack Schwager. On June 17, 2018, as part of EASI Investments LLC, Ryan listed an Exchange Traded Fund or ETF, EASI Tactical Growth on the New York Stock Exchange. EASI Tactical Growth trades under the symbol EASI. It is a dynamic growth fund that changes its 50 holdings once every month. It also has a tactical trigger that switches from stocks to short term bonds when the index's trend starts down. It moves back into stocks when the index's trend turns back up. https://easiinvest.com
