David Wheeler is a film and television actor. His best-known role is his brief (three episodes) but very memorable portrayal of Selto Durka on the television series Farscape.[1]

Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting
On December 14, 2012, Wheeler's six-year-old son was killed during a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Since that time, he and his wife Francine have been outspoken advocates of legislation for stricter gun control. On April 13, 2013, the Wheelers appeared in place of President Barack Obama during his weekly online presidential address. Francine Wheeler promoted the passage of "commonsense gun responsibility reforms," encouraging those watching to contact their elected representatives and support stricter legislation.[2]
