Daxbot
Daxbot is an urban semi-autonomous robot made by Nova Dynamics,[1] a research and development company established in Philomath, Oregon.[2] Nova began initial testing on Daxbot shortly after it was established in 2015,[3] and began testing the robot out in Philomath in 2017.[4][5] Dax began making contactless deliveries within the city of Philomath during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.[6]
Operations[edit]
Dax robots are powered by an electric battery pack and use sidewalks for transportation.[7] Since early 2020 Dax has used as a last mile delivery robot in Philomath.[8] Dax is telerobotic, and can be operated remotely when it is not driving itself.[9] Dax robots are anthromorphic and have an articulating neck that allows them to look around.[10]
