The international day of choice, also known as Yom Habechira (Hebrew: יום הבחירה‎), is a day celebrated annually on 27 October. It is dedicated to recognising those who have chosen to leave the ultra-Orthodox society around the world. Many events take place around the world to celebrate the courage of Yotzim and to raise awareness in mainstream society about the "Exit movement" and its many challenges.

It was established in 2021[1] by various OTD groups and organisations from around the world and made official on 27 October, 2021 with celebrations and events[2].

Once a year, on October 27, we will mark the Day of Choice for those who have left Haredi society around the world, in order to raise awareness about freedom of choice and the struggle of Yotzim and Yotzot for equal rights and integration into society, to give expression to their cultural world and to work for legislative and societal change[3].
