Setareh Tajik (Persian:ستاره تاجیک) was a 17-year-old Afghan teenager who was beaten to death by the Iranian authorities during the 2022 Iranian protests following the death of Mahsa Amini.[1][2][3]. She is one of the children killed by the Iranian Regime in 2022 for protesting the death of Mahsa Amini[4].
Background
She was an Afghan refugee born and raised in Tehran, Iran. She died after being brutally beaten by the Iranian security forces on 22 September 2022[5]. She escaped the Taliban and was killed in Iran for anti-hijab protests by the Iranian Regime[6][7][8]. "Setareh’s mother passed away a few years ago and now the rest of the family have been told not to speak to media for their own safety" said Masih Alinejad[9]
Cause of Death
She was beaten with clubs in the face, head and body. Her family was forced to remain silent.[1]. Setareh Tajik was protesting against the murder of Mahsa Amini[5][6]
