Deathsleep is an American post-hardcore band formed in Bend, Oregon in 2025. The group is composed of seasoned musicians from the underground alternative scene, known for blending emotional intensity with progressive instrumentation and R&B-influenced vocals.
History
Deathsleep was formed in early 2025 and features vocalist Gareth Lastinger (formerly of Life Alive and Those Worth Saving), guitarist and producer Ben Rosett (of Strawberry Girls and Pretty Cute), and drummer Dillon Marra (formerly of Indian Giver and Levelhead). The band quickly developed a dedicated following due to its members' established reputations and emotionally charged musical style.
Musical style
Deathsleep's sound is rooted in post-hardcore, with elements of emo, alternative rock, and progressive rock. Vocalist Gareth Lastinger is often compared to Jonny Craig for his soulful delivery and expansive vocal range.
