Deepeinder Singh Loomba is Indian Canadian licensed paralegal, entrepreneur and community leader in Ontario, Canada. He has been licensed to provide legal services in Ontario though the Law Society of Ontario since 2012. His influence in the community and work in legal field has garnered a notable mention in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario during a speech on Sikhs in Canada.

Early life[edit]

Deepinder Singh Loomba was born in Gwaliar India, on July 5, 1958. He descends from the Semi Royal family of Shimla.  Loomba is the grandson of Sardarn Bhadhur Sir Gian Singh Prime Minister of a collection of hill states of Himachal Pradesh in India before the partition. His father is a retired career police officer. Loomba has a brother Brijinder Singh Loomba and sister Roop Loomba both prominent lawyers in India.

Loomba was involved in the Ontario Human Rights Commission case of Loomba v. Home Depot Canada. This case is notable as it is still cited today in the defence of cultural headwear in relations to an occupation in Ontario Canada.[1][2]

Mr Loomba was invited to Ontario Legislative Assembly in 2012. Where he was introduced by MP Jagmeet Singh during a speech on minority rights. Mr Loomba and his case for cultural headwear is quoted as an positive step towards the goals for Canadian Sikh Association and minority rights. [3]

Career[edit]

Loomba worked has been employed in a range of management level occupations. He has traveled to China and Africa for entrepreneurial opportunities. Loomba had worked for British Petroleum subsidiary Castrol as a director of specialties between 1999-2001.

On December 12th, 2012 Loomba was sworn in as a license paralegal of the Law Society of Ontario, Canada. He began providing legal services to the Greater Toronto Area.

Personal Life[edit]

Deepinder Loomba was married in 1986 with Kulvinder Kaur. They have a son Roopjyot Loomba and a daughter Amanroop Loomba. Presently they reside in Brampton Ontario Canada.

Loomba is a community director and legal advisor at United Sikh Organization.

Education[edit]

Loomba has a number of higher education credentials. He earned a BA, MA and MPhil in International relations and history from the Himachal Pradesh University in India. Loomba attended York College in Ontario in 2003 to become a immigration consultant. He latter attended Algonquin Careers Academy in 2012 earning a Paralegal Diploma. Latter that year Loomba passed the paralegal licensing exam.
