The Deer Fire was a wildfire in Kern County in 2016.[1]
The fire
The Deer Fire started during the afternoon of July 1 near Deer Trail.[2] Within hours the fire was growing rapidly towards Bear Valley Springs and prompted the evacuations of Owl Court and Deer Trail.[2]
The fire was reported as 100% contained at 1,785 acres (7 km2) on July 11.[1]
