Del-York Creative Academy
Del-York Creative Academy (DCA) is a for-profit film school and media institution with Headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. The academy, a subsidiary of Del-York International, runs a month-long, hands-on training program on filmmaking courses.
History
The Del-York Creative Academy, formerly known as Del-York International Film School before its break out from the Agency as a dedicated Film and Media studies institution, was founded in 2010 by Linus Idahosa with the aim of bridging the knowledge gap in digital film-making in Africa and promote vocational education in Nigeria. In doing this, DCA brings renowned instructors from Hollywood to train local talents across the African continent.
Academics
DCA programs include Acting For Film, Broadcast Journalism, Directing, Screenwriting For Film & TV, 3D Animation, Video Editing, Drones, Sound Design and Scoring for Film, Make-up and Special Effects, VFX, Colouring and Grading, Producing & the business of film-making and many others.
Accreditation
The Del-York Creative Academy is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in Nigeria.
