Delbert Shoopman (born July 20, 1981) is an American television writer, film writer, and producer. He is known for his work on the television series You vs. Wild, Running Wild with Bear Grylls and IKEA Heights.[1]
Career
Delbert started his career as a 110th Fighter Wing member in United States Air Force where he was deployed as part of both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2001 and 2003.
In 2008, he worked as an assistant production coordinator in The Ellen DeGeneres Show.[2][3]
In 2010, he co-founded BGV Media, a management and production company which manages shows for Bear Grylls.[4]
In 2019, he founded The Natural Studios, a production house with Bear Grylls.[5]
Awards and honors
In 2015, he won The Royal Television Society Award and British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for The Island with Bear Grylls.[6]
In 2017, he won British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for Bear Grylls Survival School.[7]
In 2019, he, as an executive producer, was nominated in You vs. Wild for Outstanding Original Interactive Program in Emmy Awards.[8]
In 2021, he was nominated as an executive producer in Running Wild with Bear Grylls for Outstanding Structured Reality Program in Emmy Awards.[8]
