Dell Allen Guthrie (born July 6, 1964) is a Canadian author, poet, and puppeteer. Born in the small community of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Guthrie grew up in the town of Hope. He is a writer and poet, best known for his unpublished epic satirical science fiction dystopian rhyming poem The Fargawkulator. He has also written many short stories featuring his recurring characters Seamus O'Doole and Clayborn Cumming, who will feature in his upcoming novel No Road Back, which will be self-published on Amazon in 2022. He is also a puppeteer and puppet-builder, having begun performing puppets in 2018 to entertain his young son, Michael. Guthrie developed the puppet character Sammi Soubise, whom he modified from a Wembley Fraggle puppet. Guthrie is currently planning to begin uploading videos of his puppets on Instagram in 2023. In 1999, he married German woman Kerstin Vogel, and they separated in 2020. Guthrie currently lives in the city of Kamloops.
