Delta Psi Epsilon (ΔΨΕ) is a Christian sorority dedicated to the ministry of evangelism. The sorority is a founding member of the United Council of Christian Fraternities and Sororities.
History[edit]
Delta Psi Epsilon was founded on January 16, 1999, by Founders Carla Griffith, Vila-Sheree Watson and Nicole Gardner. Griffith, Watson, and Gardner met each other through a local Christian club at Oakwood University. The sorority was formed to give women an opportunity to become a part of a Greek-lettered organization, but at the same time hold to their Christian values. In 2000, Delta Psi Epsilon Christian Sorority, Inc. became incorporated.
In February 2004, the sorority took in its first members. These seven women are known as the Seven Heavenly Virtues. These are Sonya Archie, Cheryl Plaster-Vinson, Rayquisha Render-Timmons, LaTonya Sparks-Hinton, Maritza Barnes, Mary Watson-Cole and Griena Knight-Davis.

Ministry[edit]
The Orchidettes Club is an entity run by Delta Psi Epsilon to minister to high school age girls on Christian womanhood. Orchidettes Clubs are formed under the leadership of chapters and colonies at various churches, schools and as community-based groups. The purpose of the Orchidettes is to provide young women with educational, vocational, civic, cultural and spiritual experiences.
The sorority is a founding member of the United Council of Christian Fraternities and Sororities
