In July 2019, DemandTec parent company Acoustic was formed as an independent enterprise marketing and cloud company as a result of Centerbridge Partners' acquisition of IBM assets and team members formerly in IBM's Marketing Cloud group.[1]
In August 2007, the company priced its initial public offering at $11 per share. [2]
Acquisitions[edit]
In December 2011 it was announced that IBM had intent to purchase DemandTec;[3] the deal closed in February 2012.

- Connect3 Systems, Inc. (February, 2009)[5]
- Acquired substantially all of the assets of Applied Intelligence Solutions, LLC (January, 2011)[6]
