Demetreus Nix

Demetreus Nix (born July 19, 1986) is an African-American entrepreneur and owns the business Nix Contracting and Managing company.

Early life[edit]

Nix was born on July 19, 1986 in Niagara Falls NY to to Debra Davis and Terrence Feggins. He was diagnosed with a learning disability in the second grade and then received special education up until 7th grade.

Career[edit]

After being released from prison in 2010 Nix started Niagarafalls StreetNew, a social media news site. He then started a woman’s magazine called Bella Council that ran from 2011 to 2013. During this time, Nix also worked at Compu Mail. In 2014 Nix started his first brick and mortar business called Customs.

As of 2021, Nix owns ten real estate properties, and also own a property management business, managing other landlords houses for 10%. He also owns “Nix Contracting.” He is also involved in a third business which is of Blowing Insulation. Another business he has is the Nix dumpster and garbage removal all in Niagara Falls which is run by his family and friends. [citation needed]

Philanthropy[edit]

He also opened a school called "Entrepreneur School Thought," which is an adult community center and home by “We All We Got”.

Murder and arrest[edit]

On June 20,2001 Nix shot and killed 20-year-old Douglas Scott. After a month he was arrested and charged with juvenile TV offender 2nd degree murder. In 2003 he was sentenced to JO Manslaughter first degree 3 1/3 to 10years plus 18 months. On December 9, 2009 Nix was released from prison with $40 and a bus ticket to Niagara Falls.[1]

Personal life[edit]

During his prison life, Nix converted to Islam. In 2010 he married Fatina Shahada-Nix a Palestinian Muslim, and was later divorced. In 2013, Nix married two African-American women which, again, ended in divorce.

He has two kids; Amilio Abdullah Nix, and Arine Abdullah Nix. He is living in Niagara Falls NY.
