Dennis Bartizal (born in Jan 5, 1954), is an American writer.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the Western suburbs. During college he was a member of the Northern Illinois University's creative writing club, "The Indigent Children In Exile." He also would read his short stories, poetry, and one act plays at various coffee houses including DeKalb's "The Upper Room."

In retirement Mr. Bartizal has devoted his time to writing again. He became an active member of the "DuPage Writers Group" which meets at the Carol Stream Public Library. He also reads his works on Open Mic Nights at local coffee houses such as Lombard's Corner House, Wheaton's My Half Of The Sky. and St. Charles' Arcedium.
