Dennis "Yahuchesed" Delemar (born April 24, 1985),[1] is an American film director, screenwriter, actor, poet, and entrepreneur. He is the owner of a production company, On The Way Pictures which has multiple films in development.
Delemar movies tackle issues like domestic violence, conspiracy, race relations, and other social issues. His non-film business ventures include, Black Wall Street Clothing, a clothing line named after the historic Greenwood District of the early 1900s.[2]
Early life[edit]
Delemar was born in New Bern, North Carolina, the son of Denise Delemar, and Gerrol Delemar, a general contractor and entrepreneur. He was raised by his late grandmother Eliza Delemar who enrolled him in sports like karate, baseball and football. After her death, he moved with his father to Charlotte, North Carolina where he attended Garinger High School.

Delemar played his freshmen and sophomore year as Defensive End at Garinger High School before transferring to David W. Butler High School. At Butler he gained notoriety by becoming a SW4A All-Conference Player two years in a row, and was once named the best Defensive Front Player.[3] As a Junior, he recorded over 100 tackles and 13 sacks, repeating similar numbers in his senior year.[3] Delemar played on the same team as Jamar Adams, former player of the Seattle Seahawks. Delemar had many encounters with David W. Butler High School's arch rival[4] Independence High School, recording multiple sacks against Chris Leak, who went on to lead the University of Florida to a BCS National Championship in 2006.[5]
College[edit]
Under weight as Defensive End, Delemar was not recruited by major Division I schools, so he attended Charleston Southern University.[6] There, he was red-shirted as a freshman, later going on to appear in 10 games as a red-shirt freshman, seeing significant playing in the win over Coastal Carolina, helping CSU in their first ever Big South Conference Championship.[3] Delemar also holds the record at Charleston Southern University for the fastest short shuttle, clocking in at 3.9 seconds.

Film[edit]
March 2008, in a divine experience at the Charleston Southern University's cafeteria, a complete stranger, gave him a prophetic message about his destiny. He decided to leave football, and a potential professional career, to pursue filmmaking. The move prompted Charleston's ABC News Channel 4 to do a story called "From the Football Field to the Soul Field". Months later while watching the stage-play entitled "Diary of Anne Frank", Delemar was inspired by the power of acting, and discover he had a gift of acting as well. He then played in theater hits such as Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.
Delemar was taught under the wing of former New York Film Academy instructor Thomas Keating. Upon graduation, he was accepted to New York Film Academy on a partial scholarship for the Masters of Fine Arts in Filmmaking program,[7] but due to uncontrollable circumstances he could not to attend, so he taught himself.
In 2011, Dennis met Hollywood veteran Cinematographer Tom Priestley Jr., known for his Cinematography in Barbershop I & BarberShop II, and Second Unit DP for Deep Impact, and Die Hard: With A Vengeance. Priestley, who has worked with the likes of Steven Spielberg briefly mentored Delemar. They ended up teaming up on Undeserving Grace, a project Delemar wrote before he was to attend New York Film Academy. The short film is an intense portrayal of a woman's struggle to leave a domestic violence relationship.[8]
With domestic violence being the theme of Undeserving Grace,[9] Delemar partnered with SafeSpace Foundation Inc. of Miami Florida, a nonprofit organization committed to providing assistance to victims of domestic violence.
Currently, Delemar has films in development like Black Wall Street™, and Who Are You Living For?.

Black Wall Street Clothing[edit]
In 2015, Delemar started a clothing line, Black Wall Street Clothing in Tulsa Oklahoma,[10] the nickname of the historic Greenwood District of the early 1900s. The fashion line's ideology is traditional craftsmanship in attempt to re-educate, inspire and inform, modeled in the same elegance, style, and ingenuity as Greenwood's pioneers.[2]
Black Wall Street Clothing started with the a casual shirt collection, but plans to expand into a full lifestyle brand specializing in categories such as fitted and tailored suits, dress shirts, children's wear, headwear, footwear and fragrances. The Brand is the Official outfitters for the developing Motion Picture entitled Black Wall Street.
