Denver Medical Depot

The Denver Medical Depot is a landmark in the Clayton neighborhood of Northeast Denver. [1] [2] Designed and built during World War II, the Denver Medical Depot was built by the Federal government to house medical supplies and their distribution operations. It was comprised of several small warehouses, administration buildings, and maintenance buildings sited on 37 acres. It was one of 11 such sites built across the United States. [3],2 Following the war it was used for a time by the Veterans Administration 3 and then a series of local government uses 4. Following a brief additional use by the Federal government, the site was acquired for redevelopment by the city of Denver and in 1998 it was converted to a light-industrial business park. [3]

Since entering private ownership, the property has been known under the following additional names Inner City Business Park [2] 3800 Steele Street[4] York Street Yards
