Derix Glasstudios is a German company specializing in stained glass artistry. Founded in 1866 and headquartered in Taunusstein, Hessen, the company produces both traditional and contemporary glass artworks for various architectural and public art projects.[1]

Notable Works[edit]

Derix Glasstudios has contributed glass art to prominent locations worldwide, often through collaborations with well-known artists.

Formosa Boulevard Station, Taiwan: One example is the "Dome of Light" at Formosa Boulevard Station in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, designed by Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata. The installation, a symbol of Taiwanese democracy, was produced in collaboration with Derix Glasstudios.[2]

Cologne Cathedral, Germany: In Cologne, Germany, Derix Glasstudios produced the "Richter Fenster" for the Cologne Cathedral’s south window. This project, designed by artist Gerhard Richter, is one of the notable examples of the studio’s work in a historic and religious context.[3]
