DeskPRO is a web-based help desk system designed for both customer service and IT help desk usage.
Characteristics
DeskPRO is a web-based help desk platform designed to manage email, input from contact forms, and live support chat.
In contrast to many web-based help desk software, DeskPRO uses a 3-paned interface and updates ticket status in real time (although it runs in the browser using HTML5 with no extra plugins required).
Development
DeskPRO has been in development since 2002.[1]
Initially self-hosted only, DeskPRO later became available in a Software-as-a-Service version called DeskPRO Cloud.
Reception
The software has been adopted by a wide variety of organizations including commercial companies, charities, educational institutions, and local and national government departments. Commercial users include Microsoft, Xerox, Valve, and bitdefender. Charities using DeskPRO include the Southern Poverty Law Center. Government users include the US Department of Defense, HM Revenue & Customs, and the British Cabinet Office.[2]
DeskPRO was recommended in an Entrepreneur magazine article as a "reliable online helpdesk solution"[3] and listed as a commercial solution to consider when building an effective helpdesk by TheNextWeb [4].
The reviews site FinancesOnline reports a 98% user satisfaction rating for DeskPRO based on social media sentiment analysis.[5]
