Desmond Napoles (born June 2007) is an LGBTQ advocate and a drag performer.[1][2] Napoles created the first drag club for children, titled Haus of Amazing.[3][4] Napoles drag name is Desmond is Amazing.[5][6][7]
Life[edit]
Desmond reports that he has been out since day one.[8] Napoles' mother reports that Desmond began gravitating towards drag performances when he was two and watched RuPauls Drag Race.[9][10] Subsequently, at seven, Desmond danced in Jinkx Monsoon’s “The Bacon Shake” music video.[11] In 2015, a video of Desmond voguing at Pride went viral[12][13] and in 2017, Desmond was invited to cut the pink ribbon with RuPaul for RuPaul’s DragCon.[14][15] Also in 2017, at Stonewall's One Year Memorial, Desmond read out the names of the Pulse shooting victims, and won the Marsha P. Jackson Award from Heritage of Pride.[2][16] In 2018, Desmond walked the runway at the Gypsy Sport show[17] for Fashion Week.[18][19] Desmond has been named the youngest member of the Iconic House of UltraOmni.[18][20]
