A drama thriller, ‘Detective Rishi’ tells the story of CB – CID officer Rishi and his close friend Dr. Madhu Babu, a forensic medical examiner. The story is told from Madhu Babu’s perspective as he generally writes all the adventure experiences which he has gone through with Detective Rishi while solving the crime case. Madhu Babu pens down all details of the case in the form of story. One such interesting case forms the story of this movie. The case is about a mysterious death followed by a vigilante named Agastya. The movie keeps you invested as it keeps adding more and more layers to the story. It’s a quest to offer a bonafide, nail-biting thriller. This is what the movie drives home through its gripping and tight screenplay.
The plot idea was given by Ravi Polishetty and was developed as a screen play by Kaundinya Sai Chakravarthi & Kiran Kumar. This movie is inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary detective Sherlock Holmes. Similar to Sherlock Homes stories, here we have two main protagonist Rishi and Dr. Madhu Babu. Rishi works for Telangana government as CB- CID officer and his best friend Dr. Madhu Babu works as forensic medical expert for the government. Dr. Madhu Babu documents all the adventures he had with Rishi for solving the crime cases. It’s a still a mystery how much of his writing is fiction and how much is non-fiction.
We are living in a dangerous world, with many shocking events occurring on a regular basis. Nirbahya case is just one example. There are many, many other incidents which have never seen the light of the day. We read about these and ignore them expecting that someone should do something about it. So here we are, telling you about one such fearsome story.
One of the highlights of the movie is Rishi’s problem solving ability.
Rishi solves the most bewildering cases by thinking outside the box. It’s this attention to detail – all the details – that allows him to make the most extraordinary inferences.
