On August 21, 2020, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake hit 2km SSE of Detroit Beach, Michigan. The earthquake had a depth of 9.2km. The earthquake was reported by 2,925 people. [1]

Earthquake[edit]

At 6:55 pm on Friday, August 21, 2020, the small 3.2 magnitude earthquake began about 3 km off the coast of Sterling State Park. Light to weak shaking from the earthquake was reported as far away as Bowling Green, Ohio and Toledo, Ohio. [2] The United States Geological Survey was intrigued by the earthquake as the Detroit area is not very seismic. [3]
