Devasitham is the Indian captain for langdi. He represented India in Asian and South Asian Tournaments & Won many accolades. Under his leadership, India won the world cup in Singapore Tournament held in November 2017.

He is entering into Tamil Nadu politics as a independent candidate in the Lok Sabha election 2019, standing for the Ramanathapuram seat.
