Dhaakad is an upcoming Indian Hindi - Langauge action-thriller film[1], directed by Razneesh Ghai and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohail Maklai.[1] Dhaakad features Kangana Ranaut as Agent Agni, and apart from Ranaut, the film stars Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, Sharib Hashmi in other important characters. An official announcement of the film was made on July 6 2019 with film’s poster.[2] The principal photography started on January 2020[3], and the film was announced as the Diwali release of 2020, but due to the pandemic, and shooting delays, the film has been postponed.[4]
The film focuses on the serious issues of child trafficking and other crimes on women and Agent Agni (Kangana) fights against the antagonist Rudhraveer (Rampal).[5]

Development[edit]
In July 2020, a virtual reading session was attended by Ranaut, Ritesh Shah, and Sohail Maklai.[6] Then in October, Kangana started her physical training for the action scenes.[7] In December 2020, Kangana took the announcement of filming on social media. Then the filming commenced in January 2021, Kangana shared the news of prosthetics measurement on social media.[8] For the film, Ranaut has ten different looks, from a bar tender to sex worker, to a dancer. [9]
Casting[edit]
In January 2021, Arjun Rampal's look as the antagonist Rudhraveer was unveiled on social media,[10] followed by Divya Dutta’s Rohini character poster.[11]
Filming[edit]
The first schedule of the film was wrapped by February 2021 and the team resumed shoot for the next schedule in July.[12] The cast wrapped the last schedule of the film in August in Budapest.[13]
Release[edit]
Initially the film was scheduled for Diwali 2020, but owing to COVID Pandemic and shoot restriction the release of the film is indefinitely postponed.[14]
