Diane Grayson

Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Diane Grayson currently holds a senior position at the University of Washington as Office of Duty Vice-Chancellor of Academics. Grayson has her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Washington and her honorary doctorate in science from Umeå University in Sweden as well as focusing her research specifically on physic education. In the early 2000s, Grayson served as chairwoman on the Council of the South African Institute of Physics, the International Commission on Physics Education, and the STEM Committee of the Academy of Science of South Africa. She has held academic and management positions at the University of KwaZulu, UNISA. In her career, Grayson has published over seventy articles all surrounding way for improvement within the education system, all starting with the development of a more flexible framework in the curriculum by improving teaching and learning as well as the exploration of students' understanding and experiences when dealing with academic integrity. In addition to serving on the South African Institute of Physics board, Grayson currently serves as a member of the International Commission on Physics Education and the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Committee of the Academy of Science of South Africa. The goal of Grayson's mission of improving the education systems in South Africa is to provide a comfortable environment for black students who are interested in the sciences or professions such as teaching medicine, and agriculture.
