Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior is a book written by Cube Kid and illustrated by Saboten. The story is about a Minecraft Villager named Runt as he goes to school studying to become a warrior.
The series was originally released on Kindle in 2015 as "Diary of a Wimpy Villager".
Plot
The story is about a few villager children "Runt, Stump, and Max" in a world with similar mechanics to "Minecraft". The story centers on "Runt" who dreams of becoming a warrior. "Steve" serves as Runt's mentor and guide. Through the novel, Runt goes through examinations on "Mining," "Crafting," "Mob Defense," and "Combat" in order to prepare himself for becoming a warrior.
Characters
Runt The main character, Runt is a villager boy who has dreams of becoming a warrior. He shows excellent critical thinking and skill during the exams, and is very competitive.
Stump Stump is Runt's best friend. He supports Runt's decision to become a warrior and also strives to become one too. He shows similar strategy as Runt.
Max Max is considered a bully to most kids. He also possesses great skill, getting high scores in his exams. His cocky nature causes him to flaunt his scores and look down on other children.
