Die Tomorrow

Die Tomorrow (Thai: ดายทูมอร์โรว์) is a Thai drama-documentary directed by Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit. Inspired by six real-life death cases reported in newspapers, the film presents these events through a sequence of short, episodic narratives. Each segment portrays individuals during ordinary moments in their daily lives shortly before their deaths. Rather than focusing on dramatic or extraordinary incidents, the film emphasizes everyday routines and subtle, understated situations.
Through its episodic structure, Die Tomorrow links a variety of settings and social backgrounds, underscoring the universality of death. It suggests that death is not confined by time, place, or social status, but exists as an inherent and often unnoticed part of everyday life.[1][2][3]
The film received critical recognition, winning the New Asian Cinema Award for Best Film at the Five Flavours Asian Film Festival in 2018 and earning a total of nine nominations[3]. It also achieved an estimated revenue of approximately THB 3.1 million from limited screenings in seven theaters across Bangkok and its surrounding metropolitan areas.[4]

Plot Overview
Set in Bangkok, the film traces six individuals as they unknowingly move toward the last day of their lives. It captures their conversations, interactions, and daily routines over what seems like a completely ordinary day.
Divided into six segments, the narrative highlights how the day before death can feel no different from any other. Using an essay-film style, it blends fictional narratives with archival footage, audio recordings, and statistical material to examine and contemplate the idea of mortality.[1][2]
Lucky Girls
Follows a group of young women who believe about luck in their life. The story contrasts their lighthearted outlook with the fragility of fate, suggesting that luck doesn’t guarantee tomorrow.
You Smile
A quiet, intimate moment between people (often interpreted as romantic or familial). The “smile” becomes symbolic—something small that might be the last connection before death.
A Passport
Centers on travel and future plans. A passport usually represents opportunity and movement, but here it highlights how plans can suddenly be cut short.
The Lion King
No matter how high you are in the chain, your position and fame can't go with you when you die. Someone will always replace you, and even your death might bring happiness to someone else.
No One Say I Love You
Focuses on unspoken feelings. The tragedy lies in things left unsaid that just one sentence can lead to an irreversible tragedy.
A Good Day
The characters move through their usual routines, creating a sense that everything is normal and uneventful. However what appears to be a “good day” can, without warning, become someone’s last.
